HI! I'm Jen Pulley, and I have the best job in the world. I am the owner and teacher at Off We Go Nature Preschool. This is the 12th year I have been able to spend my time helping kids to learn and explore. I love working with children and enjoy their wonder, excitement, and curiosity about the world around them. They are hilarious and always keep us on our toes. I love watching them gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. Guiding them while they play and explore brings joy to my heart! I am a mom of three not-so-little kids and Bentley the dog. As a family, we love being outdoors, camping, hiking, and mountain biking. I graduated from the U of U with a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and worked as a Recreational Therapist. Throughout the years, I volunteered in my children's classrooms and helped with the reading programs. I taught with Granite District Preschool for four years before opening Off We Go Nature Preschool. I love to hike, travel, garden, read, and I have a problem with buying too many children's books.
At preschool, I am known as 'Grandma Carol' and I love that title. I have worked at preschool for several years and enjoy being with the kids. I am a mother of six children (Miss Jen is my middle daughter), grandmother to 20 wonderful grandkids, and 2 great-granddaughters. I earned a B.S. in nursing many years ago, and for 30-plus years I worked at Primary Children's medical center in pediatrics. Now that I am retired and my grandkids are growing up, I’m happy to spend my days with the kids at preschool. They help keep me young!
Hi, my name is Christine Foster and I’m excited for my new adventure with Off We Go Nature Preschool. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Weber State and taught for five years (Copper Hills Elementary, Magna) before having children. I ran a preschool (Somebunny Loves You Preschool) out of my home in Idaho for two years. I am a busy mother of five children (ages 6-16). My youngest hits first grade this year and it will be the first time I’ve had no kids at home in 16 years, so thank you for letting me borrow yours a few hours each week. I’m so excited to learn and explore with them. I love my two dogs and my frogs and fish. I enjoy camping, coloring, and baking pie. My favorite colors are purple and orange!
Hi! I'm Johanna Durham, and I just started with Off We Go Preschool last year! My son Lowell attended preschool with Miss Jen a couple years ago, and my daughter Beatrice is joining us this year. I have a Bachelor's of English and a Master's of Education from the University of Utah, so I LOVE to read! I taught middle school English with Granite school district for two years until we realized it was unsustainable for me and my husband to both work full time while having two small kids. After that I moved to part time to tutor kids K-12 for a couple years, then I decided to come see your kids and teach preschool! (By the way, preschoolers are by far the most hilarious of kids, so I've enjoyed them the most!) I also run a creative reuse center called Secondhand Salamander, so I love crafting. I obviously have too many hobbies, because I also love to bike, bake, and garden!
Hey there, I'm Kali! I am an Art Education and Psychology student who has had a passion for teaching since my early days as a swimming and dance instructor. I am constantly inspired by the creativity of kids, and believe they are endlessly capable of so much when given a safe environment to learn. I grew up outdoors - camping, hiking, swimming, and going barefoot on walks around the block. Learning through play, especially outdoors, was innate for me and I believe crucial for young kids when it comes to creativity, critical thinking, exploration and courage. A good deal of my time as a kid was spent playing with oil-pastels in the gully under my mom's artful instruction. I'm a student, wife, fish-mom, artist, dancer, and teacher, and I am so excited to play and learn with your little ones.
